I’ve been working in the field of motivation, effectiveness and efficiency for quite some time now.
I went to the University of Groningen in The Netherlands to study English and Information Science a.k.a. Humanities Computing. Then I spent a long time as an IT trainer and consultant.
In such projects, the implicit object often was ‘to improve productivity.’ But productivity, efficiency and effectiveness do not reside in computer systems, however advanced: they arise from the human beings using them in a systematic way.
As a result of that growing realization, I now concentrate on improving productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of individuals and the organisations they operate in, so that there’s more peace and quiet to focus on those things that really matter.
If I train or coach you, we might go deep. But it’s always no-nonsense, always practical, and always, always respectful.
